The BB-500-90A™ Is a terminated broad-band, multi-wire antenna system, originally designed for military and government ALE and frequency hopping applications - where a single antenna system must serve over a very broad segment of the HF and low VHF spectrum with a very low VSWR over its full range. This is a serious antenna system for serious operators involved in Amateur Radio EmComm from a fixed-station location. Covering all Amateur bands from 80 through 6 meters and all frequencies from 3 through 60 MHz PLUS; it is an ideal solution for those involved with MARS/CAP and other communications services, with frequency allocations in this portion of the spectrum . The BB-500-90A is CCS rated at 500 W CW/1KW PEP and requires NO TUNER over this range, when used with most modern transmitters or transceivers. Its worse case VSWR over this frequency range is around 3.2:1, so obviously those wishing a perfect 1:1 match anywhere, need nothing more than the limited range tuners within many of these to get it!

Measuring about 90 feet in length and 3 feet wide; these antennas are hand-built and individually tested to meet or exceed all mil-specs for wire antennas. All materials and construction methods used are second to none! They are built for continous duty in all climates and will handle weather conditions that would destroy lessor designs! They weigh jaround 20 pounds and are built like a truck! It is an outstanding antenna for those wanting coverage within this frequency range using only a single, modest-sized system with coax feed. Hand-built Array Solutions baluns, housed in weather-proof 4 x 4 NEMA marine enclosures and mounted on our exclusive, 1/4 inch thick UHMW-PE mounting plates are much of the reason why these antennas are considered by many professionals and amateurs alike as some of the finest broad-band wire antennas in the world! All are covered by our "No Non-Sense", One Year Warranty, with the balun covered for LIFE against just about everything but a direct lightning strike! Because these baluns are true baluns, they are at DC ground and bleed-off static charges long before they can damage sensitive and expensive equipment. This also makes them extremely quiet!

All models can be installed as either a "flat-top" or "inverted-v" and come to you fully assembled and ready for service. You'll need only a few hours time, a few friends to help you, coax and a good quality 3/8 to 1/4 inch polyester suspension line. Any tree, building or medium-duty mast will do for mounting. You need only to get the apex up to around 30 to 50 feet, and the ends 8 to 10 feet off the ground and you're ready to go!
