The BB-500-90G™ Is an extremely broad-banded, multi-wire HF antenna system, designed specifically for military and government ALE/Frequency Hoping operations. This is a serious antenna for serious operational requirements and is ideal for use with both present generation and lagacy systems. It is identicsl to our BB-2K-90G but built for lower power levels. Covering HF through low VHF, this single, compact system is all that is needed for both HF and tactical VHF systems using power output of up to 1KW PEP. Measuring just over 27.4 meters in length and less than 1 meter wide; these antennas are hand-built and individually tested to meet or exceed all mil-specs for wire communications antennas. All materials and construction methods used are second to none! They are over-built for continous duty in all climates and will easily handle weather conditions that would destroy lessor designs! Weight is only about 7.5 Kg! The BB-500-90G HF antenna covers all frequencies between 3-80 MHz and is CCS rated at 500W CW/1KW SSB! VSWR is about 3:1 worse case, throughout its operating range. A perfect 1:1 match is easily attained using most present and legacy system equipment and it is ideal for any ALE or frequency hopping requirement. It is an outstanding antenna for those requiring one antenna coverage of both HF and low VHF frequencies, in a very small space. The hand-built Array Solutions baluns, housed in a weather-proof 4 x 4 NEMA marine enclosure and mounted to our very heavy, UHMW-PE mounting plates are much of the reason why these antennas are considered by many professionals as one of the finest broad-band wire antennas in the world! Our standard connector is a type-N but others are available on request. Because the baluns are true baluns, they are at DC ground and bleed-off static charges long before they can damage sensitive equipment. This makes them extremely quiet too!

The BB-500-90G can be installed as a flat-top, inverted-v or in many sloping configurations. Its pattern is ideal for NVIS operations through 12 MHz and both medium and long range shots above this frequency. It comes fully assembled and includes everything needed but the 50 ohm coax feed line, 6 mm polyester suspension line and mounting structure(s). Any medium duty mast system will support it and apex heights as low as 7 meters, with the ends at 2 to 4 meters will do nicely! All supplied hardware is stainless-steel and includes heavy-duty 5 CM U-bolts for mast mounting.
