The RADS 9-11/A2 Rapid Antenna Deployment System™ is a complete, purpose-built, man-portable combination U/VHF and HF/NVIS antenna system. The RADS 9-11/A2™ is manually tuned; whereby the RADS 9-11/A2-237™ incorporates a specially modified SGC® SG-237 Smartuner™ and is completely automatic. Both systems cover not only the amateur 2 meter, 1.25 meter and 70 centimeter U/VHF bands but also 80 through 10 meter HF bands and the low VHF 6 meter band as well. Additionally, they also cover adjacent MARS, CAP, USCG, military/government, civil and military air, marine and public safety frequencies! The unique, multi-polarized U/VHF element is an omni-directional, very wide-band groundplane design with both vertically and horizontally polarized components; allowing receive coverage from 25 to 1300 MHz and transmit coverage from 120 to 180, 220 to 225 and 430 to 480 MHz with <2:1 VSWR at 200 watts! The standard HF element of the RADS 9-11/A2™ covers 80/75, 60, 40 and 30 meter amateur bands. The included extra HF mounting point also allows use of specially designed optional elements, allowing coverage of the full amateur HF spectrum from 160 through 6 meters; as well as field expediant HF wire antennas. Each system is complete with EVERYTHING, including 50 foot ( 15.24m) double-shielded, low-loss cables with soldered PL-259 UHF connectors and our unique "captive" Velcro™ brand "keepers" and adapter system. The adapter system is permanently attached to the station end of the supplied cables and includes adapters for UHF female to Type-N male, UHF female to BNC male, and UHF female to SMA male. Everything comes in an easy to carry, easy to store mil-spec vinyl bag with double YKK™ zippers and 1inch (2.54cm) wide poly webbing handles that allow the bag to be carried suitcase or backpack style.
