The RADS-Q PLUS™ is really two antenna systems in one. You get our tried and true RADS-Q™ quarter-wave U/VHF antenna system PLUS HF NVIS capabilities on the 30, 40, 60, 75 & 80 meter bands; all in a compact, easy to deploy and recover antenna system, designed expressly for emcomm service.
It incorporates a specially designed, PE insulated, 14AWG “Flex-Weave” multi-band quarter-wave HF element, usable to >200 watts PEP. Easily tuned to very low VSWR using an antenna analyzer, or SWR bridge and a pair of snips! Individual “tuning tails” for each band segment, makes it easy to setup for CW/Data and SSB use. Tune it once, using the easy to follow manual and always be ready for instant deployment!
It is light-weight and compact, for easy carry in its own included carry case and can be deployed and recovered in minutes, by one person, without tools, just about anywhere!
