Niljon™ Base/Portable U/VHF Antenna - $103.00
PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE USPS PRIORITY MAIL SHIPPING.
The Niljon™ antenna is a radical departure from "traditional" U/VHF designs. This antenna incorporates a very wide frequency response, great obstruction penetration, reduced "flutter" and "picket fencing" and is used, in modified form, as the U/VHF element of our
RADS 9-11/A1, A2 and A3 Rapid Antenna Deployment System models.
This patented antenna is the world's first "multi-polarized" design; having both vertical and horizontal components. It combines gain and bandwidth in a very small, light-weight package. It covers 130-180 MHz at 3 DBi, 200-225 MHz at 4 DBi and 430-480 MHz at 5 DBi with a transmit power rating of 200 watts! This one antenna can be used for not only the three primary U/VHF Amateur Bands, but all adjacent public safety and military bands as well; making it ideally suited for EmComm applications. For the first time, you can use the same antenna for FM and SSB, even work LEO sats! It is also one of the finest scanner antennas on the market for use from 25 to 1300 MHz, especially good for monitoring military aircraft in the 300-400 MHz range.
Be sure to download and read the inventor's white paper, (included on our downloads page) and view the pattern comparison between this antenna and traditional "whip" designs. See for yourself how the Niljon™ gets your signal where it's needed from canyons and valleys, as well as the wide-open spaces. The Niljon™ base antenna includes the Niljon Super-M mobile antenna and the hardware required to mount to a standard T.V. mast, pipe or one of our fiberglass mast kits. It includes a four element ground plane and UHF coaxial connector, for attaching your coax feed line. NO TUNING required!
