These are NOT military surplus but brand new! We buy them in large quantities, from the same manufacturer that makes them for Uncle Sam; unpainted and in military green and desert tan.  Most are unpainted; for use in systems we build that must be custom painted to customer specifications, or do double-duty as conductive earth grounding electrodes, as well as holding the guys.   We use them in all our amateur, military and government mast and antenna support systems. They are light-weight, so they won't break your back if you have to carry a few to that hilltop next Field Day; and are "V" or triangular shaped, to hold in just about any soil type, even sand, snow and ice!  Not your cheap, run of the mill variety tent stakes - these are the real deal and will last for years! They won't bend or break the first time you try to drive them into frozen or rocky soil, and they are great for not only guy anchoring, but for tents and tarps too.
